Today, the area at the northern end of Last Mountain Lake
is designated as a "Wetland of International Importance". This area is known as
a migratory stop for over 280 species of birds and a breeding ground for as many
as 100 different species. The south end of the reserve is located approximately
8km north of the Sunset Acres Resort along the lake's shoreline.

Driving here from Saskatoon, head east on highway 16 to highway 20, turn south on highway 20 and continue to Cymric (Arlington Beach) turnoff, this is rural route 746. Turn west and travel to the grid road 1 mile east of Arlington Beach, turn south on the grid road and follow the signs to Sunset Acres Resort.

Driving from Regina, travel north on highway 11 to highway 20 (Lumsden turnoff), travel north on highway 20 to the Cymric turn off (rural route 746). Turn west and travel to the grid road 1 mile east of Arlington Beach. Turn south on the grid road and follow the signs to Sunset Acres Resort. |
